Glass Substrates
Glass substrates are processed from sheet glass materials. They can take the form of discs, squares and shaped glass. The surfaces are as supplied by the glass manufacturer to a standard specification. These glasses include glass materials Schott B270, Borofloat, Floatglass, D263 and Crownglass materials. See materials range.
Various cutting and grinding processes control the dimensional cutting tolerance. Glass substrates have an extensive product use and are typically used in solar cells, LCD hybrid circuits, instruments, coating technology, photomasks and imaging machines. They are used in laboratories, machine vision instrumentation and widely used for science and electronic systems.
