Quartz Cover Slips are ultra thin polished quartz glass substrates used for their absolute UV transparency for medical, scientific and research applications. When viewing the surface a quartz cover slip can slow evaporation and compress the most viewed object to protect the microscope lens. In most cases the quartz cover slip is used in combination with a microscope slide.

When a glass is needed for ultraviolet applications and high temperature experiments fused quartz and uv fused silica is the most suitable choice.

The extra benefits of UV fused silica is the higher transmission deeper into the UV. These are also made in a standard stock range or to custom made quartz cover slips sizes.
