Schott BK7 Optical Glass Windows
Optical glass windows made from Schott BK7 material or equivalent glasses are most common of glasses used when a general optical glass is required. For material data see materials page. They are ground and polished parallel to Standard Spectroscopic to high precision laser finish made to a wide range of sizes and shapes. Capabilities can be seen on custom processing page.
Schott BK7 Windows are also made to a stock range. They are widely used to protect elements between two environments and their impact on the passage of visible light is neutral. When applications requiring minimal transmission beam deviation a AR coating can be applied.
Other manufacturers make equivalent material of Schott BK7. To match an alternative glass see optical glass equivalent page.
There are many uses for BK7 optical glass windows. Typical examples of applications and products include camera windows, viewing windows, instrument windows, substrates, coating pieces, monitor windows, optical diffusers, lens blanks, laboratory windows, flats, laser windows, and pressure windows.
